Most people who take the time to sit down and write about the anime offerings we get on cable TV are going to lie to you.  Because they’re probably going to tell you how good anime is.  I, on the other hand, will not.  In fact, I promise to lie to you a little less than a fanboy would. 

“Anime” was originally the Japanese word for “Boring Vacation Slide Show”, but over the years it has come to be associated with cartoons, despite the fact that your Aunt Margaret’s well-documented trip to Fiber Land and her accompanying tale of waiting in line for the Bowel Blaster ride are, in fact, also “anime”.  But there is a subculture here in the West that misuses the word “anime” to exclusively refer to Japanese cartoons (some of which, admittedly, are not too far off the original mark).

These people call themselves “Otaku” which is supposedly derived from a Japanese word that means “Obnoxious Mother comic_name*** is hosted on Keenspace , a free webhosting and site automation service for webcomics
